Soccer Recap: Palo Duro Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Palo Duro's offense. They fell just short of the Monterey Plainsmen by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Plainsmen are ranked 21st).

Palo Duro's loss dropped their record down to 11-5-4. As for Monterey, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-0-2.

While Palo Duro had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
