Meanwhile, Jefferson entered their tilt with Brackenridge on Friday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They claimed a resounding 69-36 victory over the Eagles. With the Mustangs ahead 39-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Jefferson's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-11. As for Sam Houston, their loss dropped their record down to 6-23.
