Football Recap: Brady Mchugh and Major Simmons Secure Win for First Presbyterian Day

First Presbyterian Day won the last time they faced Stratford Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Vikings walked away with a 21-10 win over the Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

First Presbyterian Day was led to victory by Major Simmons and Brady McHugh. Simmons rushed for 112 yards and one score, while McHugh gained 145 total yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Simmons has posted since back in August.

Despite the loss, Stratford Academy still got an impressive performance from Tyler Stephens, who rushed for 153 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 81 yards.

First Presbyterian Day's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Stratford Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

First Presbyterian Day wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 34-17 defeat against John Milledge Academy on the 10th. As for Stratford Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 49-0 win against Tattnall Square Academy on the 10th.
