Baseball Recap: Cedarcrest Wins Going Away Against Foster

There's no place like home for Cedarcrest, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They never let the Foster Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Wednesday. That looming 10-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Red Wolves yet this season.

Logan Pfister made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Cedarcrest is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Pfister was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Braden Bottemiller was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Luke Thompson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Cedarcrest hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foster struck out 11 times.

Cedarcrest's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Foster, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Cedarcrest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-0 win against Tyee on the 29th. As for Foster, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-0 defeat against Sammamish on the 28th.
