Softball Recap: Blair Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Blair Academy had lost five games straight , but after bumping their record up to 6-5 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Hill School Rams with a sharp 16-10 win. The Bucs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

As for Hill School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8. Surprisingly, this marked their fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

For Hill School's part, Willow Gall and Maria Halvey did some serious damage despite the final result: Gall went 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI, while Halvey went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those triples marked the first that Gall has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sammie Faella, who went 2-for-3 with three runs.

Coincidentally, Blair Academy and Hill School will both be playing Hun the next time they take the field. The Rams will host the Raiders at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bucs will host them at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
