Taconic came tearing into Monday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Frontier Regional Red Hawks 69-43. Given the Thunder's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Red Hawks are ranked 133rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Taconic's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Frontier Regional, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-6.
