            Volleyball Recap: Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons vs. Palmetto Ridge Bears        
        
		
        
        
            Charlotte had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by  a  3-0 margin over the Palmetto Ridge Bears on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Fightin' Tarpons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Charlotte walked away with the   win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-16,  25-19.
 Ragan Davis paced Charlotte's offense, picking up eight kills. Davis got some help from  Juliet Hurley and her 14 assists. Hurley was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with two aces.
 Despite the  loss, Palmetto Ridge saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Ava Azcuy  had 17  digs and two  assists.

Charlotte pushed their record up to 24-3 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. As for Palmetto Ridge,  with the  defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 13-16.
 Charlotte has already played their next contest,  a  3-2  loss against Largo on the 22nd. Palmetto Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
