Softball Recap: Port Charlotte Takes a Loss

Port Charlotte lost against Lemon Bay back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Port Charlotte Pirates lost 19-4 to the Lemon Bay Manta Rays. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Port Charlotte saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylin Pinedo, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one double.

Even though they lost, Port Charlotte hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most one strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.

Port Charlotte now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Lemon Bay, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Port Charlotte wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 7-0 defeat against Charlotte on the 3rd. As for Lemon Bay, they have also already played their next game, an 11-4 victory against Hardee on the 28th.
