Baseball Recap: Glendale Takes a Loss

If Glendale was feeling good fresh off their 16-6 takedown of Days Creek on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates came up short against the Illinois Valley Cougars on Tuesday, falling 19-3. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2018.

Glendale's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Illinois Valley, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

While Glendale had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
