Soccer Game Preview: Pembroke Pines Charter vs. West Broward

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Pembroke Pines Charter take on the West Broward at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday... Pembroke Pines Charter is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

West Broward better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Pembroke Pines Charter really get things going. Pembroke Pines Charter never let Flanagan onto the board and left with a 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by three goals or more this season.

They hit Flanagan with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Simon Samudio, Carl Hans-Joseph, and Logan Hall.

Meanwhile, West Broward didn't have quite enough to beat Western on Monday and fell 2-1. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

West Broward was without their leading scorer, Juan Alaix, in Monday's match. With Alaix sidelined, West Broward had to make some changes to the lineup. Jaden Aleman played for 80 minutes having averaged 44.3 this season and Julian Palacios got 80 vs. an average of 54.2.

Pembroke Pines Charter pushed their record up to 12-0-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for West Broward, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1.

Pembroke Pines Charter took their win against West Broward in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pembroke Pines Charter since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
