After having lost a blowout in their previous game against The Vanguard School, the Fountain Valley Danes were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Colorado Springs School out 54-52. This was payback for Fountain Valley, who suffered a 53-38 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Charlie Epstein was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Asa Almgren, who scored six points along with 14 rebounds and five assists.

Fountain Valley's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-7. As for Colorado Springs School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.

Fountain Valley's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Calhan at 1:00 p.m. on February 17th. Calhan is coming into the contest with six straight losses on the road, meaning Fountain Valley will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Colorado Springs School, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Elbert at 3:30 p.m. Elbert has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
