Baseball Recap: A.J. Ellender Comes Up Short

A.J. Ellender fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Hanson Memorial on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 9-8. The Patriots just can't catch a break and have now endured eight losses in a row.

Jorge Gaona made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kayne Hendon, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

A.J. Ellender's defeat dropped their record down to 8-23. As for Hanson Memorial, they pushed their record up to 12-13-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

As of now, neither A.J. Ellender nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
