Basketball Preview: Spotswood Chargers vs. Kennedy Memorial Mustangs
The Spotswood Chargers will be playing at home against the Kennedy Memorial Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Spotswood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully the Mustangs like a good challenge.
Even though Middlesex scored an imposing 63 points on Wednesday, Spotswood still came out on top. Spotswood walked away with a 72-63 win over the Bluejays.
Meanwhile, Kennedy Memorial's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 15th straight defeat. They took a 62-48 bruising from South River. Kennedy Memorial has not had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Spotswood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Kennedy Memorial, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-17.
Everything came up roses for Spotswood against the Mustangs in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 91-57 victory. Will Spotswood repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
