Softball Recap: NV - Demarest Victorious

NV - Demarest's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Bloomfield Bengals.

Giana Capilli spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Caitlyn Fontana, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Olivia Ferullo, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

NV - Demarest now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bloomfield, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. NV - Demarest will face off against Pascack Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Bloomfield, they will square off against Montclair at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
