It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lauderdale County had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Geraldine Bulldogs. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers who have now won four games in a row.
Lauderdale County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-15.
Despite the loss, Geraldine still got an impressive performance from Cassie Burns, who had nine digs and two aces.
Lauderdale County's win bumped their record up to 40-14. As for Geraldine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 29-24.
