Baseball Game Preview: Excel Christian Warriors vs. Coleville Wolves

Excel Christian and Coleville are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2022, but likely not for long. The Excel Christian Warriors will welcome the Coleville Wolves at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Excel Christian will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Excel Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Pyramid Lake 14-2 on Saturday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Lakers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Samuel Mills was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Four bases. while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Luc Mandes was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Coleville fell victim to Mineral County and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 18-0 to the Serpents. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Serpents recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Excel Christian pushed their record up to 4-1-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.1 runs. As for Coleville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Excel Christian took their victory against Coleville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-6. Will Excel Christian repeat their success, or does Coleville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
