Yucaipa has gone 9-1 against Redlands East Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Thunderbirds are taking a road trip to square off against the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m.

Yucaipa came up short against Beaumont on Thursday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Thunderbirds in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Redlands East Valley hadn't done well against Cajon recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cowboys.

While Redlands East Valley might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Cajon scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 25-19, 25-18.

The win got Redlands East Valley back to even at 10-10. As for Yucaipa, their loss dropped their record down to 13-16.

Yucaipa took their victory against Redlands East Valley in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunderbirds since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
