Softball Recap: Altoona Takes a Loss

Altoona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Central Cambria Red Devils, falling 15-6.

Mary Worley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Altoona's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Central Cambria, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Altoona will venture away from home to take on DuBois at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Beavers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mountain Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Central Cambria, they will head out to square off against Bishop McCort at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
