Softball Game Preview: Globe Tigers vs. Apache Junction Prospectors

The Globe Tigers will square off against the Apache Junction Prospectors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Globe is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Last Friday, Globe came up short against Seton Catholic and fell 8-4.

Erlynda Horta and Zoey Tulk did some serious damage despite the final result: Horta scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Tulk scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. With that strong performance, Tulk is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.

Meanwhile, Apache Junction was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against Payson, falling 22-0.

Globe's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Apache Junction, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
