Softball Recap: Plainfield East Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Plainfield East's offense. They came up short against the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers on Friday, falling 6-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Bengals' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Plainfield East's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Coincidentally, Plainfield East and Wheaton-Warrenville South will both be playing Neuqua Valley the next time they take the field. Plainfield East will host Neuqua Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Wheaton-Warrenville South will host them at 4:30 p.m. on April 8.
