Basketball Game Preview: Curlew Cougars vs. Waterville Shockers

The Curlew Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Waterville Shockers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Curlew is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Curlew was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-44 to Selkirk.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Evan Olson, who posted 11 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Ringstad, who had 13 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Waterville unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They were dealt a 58-28 defeat at the hands of Moses Lake Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, the Shockers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Lions are ranked 93rd).

Waterville's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Curlew, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
