Basketball Recap: Decatur Eisenhower Comes Up Short

Decatur Eisenhower lost against Lincoln back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Decatur Eisenhower Panthers fell just short of the Lincoln Railsplitters by a score of 39-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since December 10, 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Karson Komnick, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Tungate, who had nine points.

This is the second loss in a row for Decatur Eisenhower and nudges their season record down to 12-12. As for Lincoln, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-8.

Coming up, Decatur Eisenhower and Centennial will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Lincoln, they and Lanphier will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
