Softball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Page County's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Page County came out on top against Stuarts Draft on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run first inning. The Panthers put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 9-3 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-1 back in March.

Page County is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Stuarts Draft, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Page County will challenge Central Woodstock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stuarts Draft, they will square off against Riverheads at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
