Basketball Game Preview: Pembroke Titans vs. Marshfield Rams

The Pembroke Titans will venture away from home to challenge the Marshfield Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Pembroke's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.

Last Friday, Pembroke ended up a good deal behind Hanover and lost 81-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (59), the Titans still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Marshfield faced Whitman-Hanson Regional in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Marshfield blew past Whitman-Hanson Regional 71-45. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Marshfield's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.1 points per game. As for Pembroke, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Pembroke strolled past Marshfield in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 77-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pembroke since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
