Softball Recap: East Ridge Takes a Loss

East Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Prestonsburg Blackcats, falling 16-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blackcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 on Friday.

East Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Prestonsburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

East Ridge has already played their next game (against Floyd Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Prestonsburg, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Martin County at 6:00 p.m. on the 7th.
