Baseball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for George County

George County entered their tilt with Vancleave on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by an 8-2 margin over the Vancleave Bulldogs. The Rebels have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Preston McAdory tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over 5.2 innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cayler Havard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

George County's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Vancleave, they moved to 4-1 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Vancleave beat George County by a score of 5-2 on Friday.
