Football Recap: Illinois Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bonanza last Friday, Illinois Valley came back down to earth. The Cougars were beaten by the St. Mary's Crusaders 60-28 on Saturday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Illinois Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for St. Mary's, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Looking ahead, Illinois Valley will face off against Rogue River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Chieftains' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.17 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for St. Mary's, they will square off against Culver at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
