Basketball Game Preview: Eastside Rams vs. North Marion Colts

Eastside and North Marion are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Eastside Rams will take on the North Marion Colts on Wednesday. Eastside will be strutting in after a victory while North Marion will be coming in after a defeat.

Eastside is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They snuck past Dunnellon with a 52-48 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Eastside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Laquan Prunty out in front who posted ten points. Those ten points gave Prunty a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Calleja, who scored seven points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, North Marion was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 54-50 to Forest.

North Marion's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Eastside, their victory bumped their record up to 4-18.

Things could have been worse for Eastside, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-40 loss to North Marion in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Eastside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
