Basketball Recap: Strong Comes Up Short

Strong was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Lafayette County Cougars, falling 69-25. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2017.

Lafayette County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Keyaijah Harris, who went 8 for 10 en route to 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Trinity Mckinney, who went 6 of 8 on her way to 14 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Strong's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Lafayette County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lafayette County beat Strong by a score of 10-0 on Thursday.
