Softball Recap: Liberty Christian Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Liberty Christian can now relate to. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers on Wednesday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Deaf Hoosiers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Avari Stanley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Callahan, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Liberty Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Indiana School for the Deaf, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Liberty Christian nor Indiana School for the Deaf have any future games scheduled.
