The T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets will square off against the Easley Green Wave at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. T.L. Hanna's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Easley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
T.L. Hanna managed to slip by Woodmont the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Yellow Jackets lost 9-2 to the Wildcats on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Yellow Jackets couldn't push the score so high this time.
Kendall Coakley 2029 made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Hanna Davis 2028, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Easley entered their tilt with Mauldin on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Mavericks by a score of 15-11.
Jalyn McGee made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Easley got a big performance out of Journey Price, who got on base in three of her six plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That double was Price's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Todd, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with three RBI and one double.
Easley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
T.L. Hanna's loss dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Easley, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
T.L. Hanna skirted past Easley 7-6 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will the Yellow Jackets repeat their success, or do the Green Wave have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
