Tippecanoe Valley had won eight straight games and Ian Cooksey did his part to make it nine on Saturday. The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings skirted past the Garrett Railroaders 46-43 with plenty of help from Cooksey, who en route to 19 points in addition to five boards and three steals. His big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Deondre Hamilton, who posted 11 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played.

Despite the loss, Garrett saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Isaiah King to rack up 18 points and six rebounds. Gabe Armstrong was another key player, on his way to 12 points.

Tippecanoe Valley's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. As for Garrett, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.

Tippecanoe Valley has already played their next contest, a 58-38 victory against Huntington North on the 21st. As for Garrett, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-48 win against Churubusco on the 18th.
