Softball Game Preview: Somerset Academy - Canyons Cougars vs. King's Academy Lions

Somerset Academy - Canyons hasn't had much luck against King's Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Somerset Academy - Canyons Cougars challenge King's Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. Somerset Academy - Canyons knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully King's Academy likes a good challenge.

On March 13th, Somerset Academy - Canyons made easy work of American Heritage and carried off a 12-2 victory. Considering the Cougars have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, King's Academy was a bit more limited in their game last Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dr. Joaquin Garcia. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

King's Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiersten Zimmerman, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Somerset Academy - Canyons' win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for King's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.

Somerset Academy - Canyons might still be hurting after the 16-1 loss they got from King's Academy in their previous matchup back in February. Can Somerset Academy - Canyons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
