Volleyball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central lost against Granite Hills back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Eagles. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brianna Aguiar paced Central's offense, picking up three kills. Aguiar were helped by Rhyanna Velazco and Maryanne Barrett, who contributed three assists each.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Granite Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Vista on the 5th. As for Granite Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Chula Vista Learning Community Charter on the 30th.
