Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Fruita Monument this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in March.

Grand Junction Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Fruita Monument, their win bumped their record up to 6-2-2.

Grand Junction Central wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 7-0 loss against Palisade on the 18th. As for Fruita Monument, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Grand Junction on the 17th.
