Basketball Recap: Rayne Comes Up Short

Rayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 63-50 to the Church Point Bears. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Bears are ranked 117th).

Rayne's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Church Point, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Rayne will take on Catholic of Pointe Coupee in a holiday battle at at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Church Point and Beau Chene will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
