Volleyball Recap: Wesleyan Find Success

Wesleyan's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mount Vernon Mustangs. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Emma Jane Gillis paced Wesleyan's offense, picking up 13 kills. Gillis got some help from Caroline Stickney and her 24 assists. Allie Godfrey controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

The victory got Wesleyan back to even at 2-2. As for Mount Vernon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coincidentally, Wesleyan and Mount Vernon will both be playing Lakeside the next time they take the court. The Wolves will head out to face the Vikings at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 4:30 p.m.
