Football Game Preview: Ronan Chiefs vs. Polson Pirates + How To Watch

The Ronan Chiefs are taking a road trip to challenge the Polson Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ronan hasn't scored more than six points for eight games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Ronan's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Bigfork on Friday. They were dealt a 56-0 loss at the hands of the Vikings & Valkyries. While losing is never fun, the Chiefs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana football rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Vikings & Valkyries are ranked 16th).

Meanwhile, Polson played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 46-13 loss at the hands of Columbia Falls. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Polson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Ronan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Ronan suffered a grim 37-14 defeat to Polson in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Pirates' Holden Emerson, who rushed for 181 yards and four touchdowns.
