Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stayton). They enjoyed a cozy 63-48 win over the Cottage Grove Lions on Thursday. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Stayton's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Cottage Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Stayton will finish 2024 at home by hosting Newport at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cottage Grove, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Phoenix at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
