Effingham came tearing into Saturday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Okaw Valley Timberwolves. The Hearts have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Timberwolves, too.

Effingham can attribute much of their success to Averie Wolfe, who had four digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Wolfe a new career-high.

Wolfe wasn't the only good servers: Effingham was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Effingham's record now sits at 8-6. As for Okaw Valley, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Effingham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Teutopolis on the 20th. As for Okaw Valley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Charleston on the 20th.
