Volleyball Recap: Fond du Lac Takes a Loss

Fond du Lac lost against Oak Creek back in September of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1.

Ellie Shultis paced Fond du Lac's offense, picking up 13 kills. Shultis got some help from MacKenna Shultis and her 15 assists. MacKenna was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Oak Creek can attribute much of their success to Claire Mank, who had 13 digs and five assists. That's the most assists Mank has posted since September 2nd.

Fond du Lac's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Oak Creek, they moved to 17-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Fond du Lac wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Oconomowoc on the 26th. As for Oak Creek, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against West Bend East on the 26th.
