Football Recap: Valley Vikings vs. Eldorado Firehawks
Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Eldorado Firehawks 45-12. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 32-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
Samere Ellis gave his former team something to remember he by as he rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries for Eldorado. Tristan Savea also helped out as he racked up 123 rushing yards.
Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Eldorado, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6.
Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Canyon Springs at 6:00 p.m. on October 24th. As for Eldorado, they will face off against Del Sol at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Eldorado has lost three straight at home , while Del Sol has lost three on the road.
