Basketball Recap: Indian Creek Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hiawatha last Monday, Indian Creek came back down to earth. The Indian Creek Timberwolves took a 36-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Durand Bulldogs.

Aurora Hilton was the offensive standout of the game as she dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaydan Bartlett, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Indian Creek suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 2-4. As for Durand, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Indian Creek will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Yorkville Christian at 6:45 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Durand, they will take on Dakota in a tournament on December 27th.
