Basketball Recap: Bay Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Bay lost against Greene County two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bay Tigers took a 29-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greene County Wildcats. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jase Matthews continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Greene County, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 11 boards. Matthews is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tylan Blackston, who posted five points and six steals.

Bay's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-12. As for Greene County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-10.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Pass Christian the next time they take the court. Bay will host Pass Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Greene County will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
