Football Game Preview: Parsippany Redhawks vs. Hopatcong Chiefs

The Parsippany Redhawks will venture away from home to face off against the Hopatcong Chiefs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Parsippany hasn't scored more than 12 points for six games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Parsippany took a 34-point loss the last time they faced off against West Side, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Redhawks slipped by the Roughriders 8-7 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Hopatcong lost to Whippany Park on the road by a 29-14 margin on Friday. The Chiefs have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Hopatcong's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Parsippany, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Everything came up roses for Parsippany against Hopatcong in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 34-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redhawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
