Volleyball Recap: Vanden Takes a Loss

Vanden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Carondelet Cougars.

The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-18.

Carondelet can attribute much of their success to Isabella Vertudez, who had eight digs and eight assists. Emery Glynn also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Vanden's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Carondelet, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-8.

Coincidentally, Vanden and Carondelet will both be playing Pleasant Valley the next time they take the court. The Vikings will head out to face the Vikings at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cougars will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
