Baseball Recap: Geneva Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Geneva can now relate to. They fell 6-2 to the Orlando Christian Prep Warriors on Tuesday. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 11-4.

Geneva saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kale Blanchette, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Geneva's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Orlando Christian Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Geneva does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Orlando Christian Prep, they will take on Orangewood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
