Baseball Game Preview: Morrilton Devil Dogs vs. Perryville Mustangs

The Morrilton Devil Dogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Perryville Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Morrilton will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Morrilton was able to grind out a solid win over Clinton, taking the game 8-3.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Perryville nor Bigelow made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Panthers. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

Morrilton's record is now 10-6. As for Perryville, their record now sits at 10-6-1.

Morrilton was able to grind out a solid victory over Perryville in their previous meeting on April 3rd, winning 7-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Devil Dogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
