Baseball Recap: Jackson County Takes a Loss

If Jackson County was riding high fresh off their 17-0 takedown of Red Boiling Springs last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Devils came up short against the Watertown Purple Tigers on Monday, falling 14-1. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Purple Tigers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Jackson County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Watertown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Jackson County is set to take on their familiar foe York Institute at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Watertown will square off against rival Monterey at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
