It was a good run, but Yerington unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 45-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hug Hawks. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.

Yerington's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-4. As for Hug, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

Yerington will take on North Tahoe at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Tahoe will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Yerington surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hug, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Wooster at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Hug is facing Wooster at the right time seeing as Wooster is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
